Campaignia is a service operated by So It Begins, LLC, a North Carolina limited liability company. Campaignia turns your tabletop role-playing game sessions into illustrated graphic novels and related content. This policy applies to the Campaignia website and application and to the information we handle when you use them. It does not apply to third-party websites or services we link to or integrate with, which have their own privacy practices.
Information you give us.
Information we collect automatically.
Campaignia uses third-party artificial-intelligence providers to create your Output. When you generate content, the relevant input — such as your transcript text, prompts, and uploaded reference images — is sent to those providers so they can return the narrative or image you requested. We use Anthropic’s Claude API for text (transcript analysis, narrative writing, and in-app help) and fal.ai for image generation. These providers process your input on our behalf to perform the requested generation and are subject to their own terms and privacy practices. AI output can be unexpected or inaccurate; please review your Output before using or publishing it.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share information only as described below.
Service providers (sub-processors). We use trusted providers who process information on our behalf to run Campaignia. Each receives only the information needed for its function:

Public Library. If you choose to publish a story to the public Library, that story and any pen name you set are made public, are readable by anyone, and may be indexed by search engines. Do not publish anything you want to keep private. See Section 6.
Legal and safety. We may disclose information if we believe in good faith it is necessary to comply with the law or a valid legal request, to enforce our Terms, to detect or prevent fraud, security, or abuse issues, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Campaignia, our users, or the public.
Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.
Publishing to the Library is optional and entirely your choice. A published story is shown publicly under your chosen pen name (or, if you set none, without a name), can be read by anyone for free, and may be indexed by search engines. You can remove a story from the Library at any time; removal stops public display but does not delete your private copy, and copies that others already viewed or that remain in search-engine caches may persist outside our control.
We use a session cookie so the service can recognize you while you are signed in, and a small amount of browser storage to support core features. These are necessary to operate Campaignia. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party ad trackers. On our public pages — the landing page, the public Library, and shared story pages — we use Google Analytics to understand aggregate visitor traffic, which sets analytics cookies provided by Google; we do not run analytics inside your signed-in account. You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings, but doing so may prevent you from signing in or using parts of the service.
We keep your account information and content for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. When you delete content or your account, we delete or anonymize the associated personal information and private content within a reasonable period, except for: content you published publicly; information retained in routine backups for a limited time before it is overwritten; and records we are required to keep to comply with the law, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements. Because storage egress is inexpensive, generated images may be retained while associated with your account and are removed when the related campaign, asset, or account is deleted.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections, hashed passwords, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for notifying us of any suspected unauthorized use of your account.
So we can help you when something goes wrong, Campaignia staff can sign in to your account to see exactly what you see. We use this only to investigate a problem — for example, to find out why a book will not build or an image will not generate.
This access is deliberately limited. While a staff member is viewing your account they cannot make a purchase or change your subscription, place a print order, change your email address or password, or delete your account. Those actions are blocked by the service itself, not merely hidden from view.
Every support session is recorded — who opened it, whose account it was, when it started and ended, and the reason given — and each session expires automatically after thirty minutes. If a staff member spends tokens from your balance while diagnosing a problem, that is recorded too, so it can be returned to you.
If you would prefer we did not access your account, tell us at support@campaignia.com and we will do what we can from the outside — though some problems cannot be diagnosed that way.
You can review and update your account information from within the app, change your password, and manage or cancel your subscription. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by emailing support@campaignia.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) or the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) — including the right to know what we collect, to request deletion or correction, to opt out of any “sale” or “sharing” (which we do not do), and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We will verify your request through your account email before acting on it and will respond within the time required by applicable law.
Campaignia is not directed to children under 13, and you must be at least 13 to create an account. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will delete the account and associated data. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use Campaignia only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian.
Campaignia is operated from the United States, and the providers we use may process and store information in the United States and other countries. If you access the service from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data-protection laws may differ from those in your location.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the version number and the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of Campaignia after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
